SUMMARY:PSAT
DESCRIPTION:The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) is scheduled for Wednesday\, October 10. This test is very important for college-bound students. Freshmen and sophomores should plan to take the test as practice for their junior year. The scores of juniors who take the PSAT will be used to award National Merit Scholarships. Taking the PSAT is also an important way to get on the radar of colleges (something we’ll cover more thoroughly during our meetings). The Elk Grove Unified School District is providing the PSAT free to sophomores. Freshman and juniors have to pay $18 to take the PSAT\, although fee waivers are available for juniors. Students have to pre-register for the PSAT\, typically in the Career Center.
