Service Academy Information Night 9/18

Service Academy Information Night 9/18

If you’re interested in attending a military service academy (West Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, etc.), you should know that it’s a complicated process – and one that you should start in your junior year of high school.

Service academy nominations must be made by federal elected officials. Most Pathways to Success families live in U.S. Rep. Ami Bera’s district, and Rep. Bera is hosting a Service Academy Information Night on September 18. If you think that this is the path for you or your student, you should attend this event – even if you’re a freshman or a sophomore.

From U.S. Representative Ami Bera’s website: Every year, I’m privileged to nominate bright and hardworking students to attend our nation’s military service academies. Our service academies are some of the top universities in the country and help build strong leaders in our military and beyond. To help local young people navigate the application process, my office will host a Service Academy Information Night on Tuesday, September 18th.

This event is open to all high school students interested in applying to a service academy as well as their parents, teachers, and guidance counselors. Please read the information below to learn more and make sure to RSVP – space is limited. You may also visit this page to learn more about the Service Academy Nomination process and its requirements.
